More Information on WP in One Month

When I launched WP in One Month in November, it was admittedly a bit rushed. I set up a “preview” class (whatever that is) and promised a discount without really explaining what attendees would get out of it. I’d like to take a moment in this blog post to answer these questions:

  1. What / When is WP in One Month?
  2. Why Should I Attend?
  3. How can I Sign Up?

What is WP in One Month?

The goal of WP in One Month is to help you get your WordPress website up and running in just 4 classes through live, in-person instruction. These classroom-style sessions will be taught by me, and I have quite a bit of experience having developed a WordPress class, taught at The University of Scranton, and more.

Whether you have never touched a website before, or you manage your WordPress-powered site on a regular basis, WP in One Month will teach you how to get the most out of WordPress and ultimately your website. You will be able to update and change your site on your own time, without having to pay someone else to do!

When is WP in One Month?

The first set of classes will be held in Scranton, PA starting in January. Here is a short list of the topics. You can see a full breakdown here.

  • January 5th, 6-7:30pm: Primer on WordPress & Websites
  • January 19th, 6-7:30pm: Managing Your Content in WordPress
  • January 26th, 6-7:30pm: Customizing WordPress
  • February 2nd, 6-730pm: Troubleshooting & Beyond + A Hands-On Workshop

Each of these sessions can be purchased individually for $59/session, or as a package for $199.00.

There is also the option of 2 Saturday Sessions:

  • January 16th, 9am-12pm: Primer on WordPress & Websites / Managing Your Content in WordPress
  • January 23rd, 9am-12pm: Customizing WordPress / Troubleshooting & Beyond + A Hands-On Workshop

These can also be purchased as a package for $199.00, or individually for $116.00/session.

Why Should I Attend?

The ability to manage your own website is a powerful skill and a daunting task. These sessions will make things easier, give you points of references, learning materials, and a contact to answer questions you might have. You should attend if:

  • You want to start a WordPress-powered website
  • You had one built and you want to learn how to use it
  • Someone else is currently managing your site and you want to take over the reigns
  • You want to learn the best ways to apply SEO to your site
  • You want to learn to do basic WordPress troubleshooting
  • Much more!

WP in One Month will give you a set of invaluable tools that will put more power to manage your website in your own hands.

How can I Sign Up?

To sign up, head over to the Register page and select the sessions you want. If you are selection the Full 4-Session package, you will be asked if you want the week nights or weekends. If you have any questions or want to see WP in One Month come to your city, get in touch!

If you sign up before Jan 1st, you can use the code TEACH2016 to get 25% off either the full 4-Session course, or any single weekend session.

Edit: I had to change the 2nd weekend session from the 30th to the 23rd due to a previous commitment.
