Inaugural NEPA WordPress Meetup

I know I haven’t been on in a while, but it’s for good reason: I’ve been busy movin’ and shakin’ and WordPressin’. My friend and co-worker Phil Erb and I have put together a WordPress Meetup here in Scranton and we’re very excited to announce that the first one is this Tuesday, February 19th.

Phil and I put together this group because we know that there are a lot of people in Northeastern PA who love WordPress just as much as we do. There is also a great technology presence in the area and we wanted to tap into that. The group will be a great chance to learn and network. From our website:

We hope to bring out the WordPress bloggers, designers, developers, enthusiasts, and users here in Scranton and the greater NEPA area to have some good discussions about our favorite web-bassed platform.

So if you’re free this Tuesday, February 19th at 7pm, come down to the Vintage Theater in Scranton and talk WordPress with us. It’s a free event and there will be coffee and wifi!

One year ago today, I launched Episode 1 of How I Built It, the podcast I started to learn from other business owners. I announced it by telling the story of Il Duomo, which I had seen in person 2 months prior. That’s still a great story that gets at the heart of what I’m trying…

    Why I Reuse Talks

Recently at one of the many WordCamps I’ve attended this year, the topic of reusing talks came up. It’s no secret I’ve been reusing my Responsive Design and WordPress talk at several events (not just WordCamps) but during the discussion a few folks mentioned that they will only give a talk once or twice, and there…

    Web Development Resources, Summer 2013

I have a ton of bookmark folders to help keep myself organized, though to be honest I usually bookmark something and then forget about it. So, while looking through some of my folders, I can across a good amount of web development resources I’ve been keeping. I’ve decided to share them.
