    A Simple Solution to Selling Workshops

    Back in August, I wrote about Occam’s Razor and a simple solution to launching projects. In fact, Occam’s Razor is something I write about regularly.

    And it’s because I’m an over-thinker who’s trying really hard not to be. I spend too much time thinking through implementations, finding the perfect tools, and doing it once. But the beauty of the web is that we can iterate. Plan enough to launch, and then continue to work on it. And with my latest solution to a new project, I think I’m finally learning.

    How To Host A Live Stream (Or Webinar)

    One of my goals for 2020 is to do more in front of the camera. I’ve been posting regularly to my YouTube channel. I also want more of my courses to include in-front of the camera work. But beyond that, my intention was to do more live streams, office hours, and webinars. This was true before many of us were faced with putting our normally in-person content online.

    Now this is even more important. So here’s how you can affordably host a live stream or webinar. Now I have a whole setup that I’ve put lots of time and money into. But the goal is easily and cost-effectively. So let’s get started.

  • Pivoting WP in One Month

    Do you know the story of Pixar? It’s a really interesting one that I strongly recommend you read all about in Creativity Inc. Here’s the gist: Pixar started off as a piece of hardware inside LucasFilms, and the team was tasked with pushing the technological envelope for live-action movies. When Lucas had to sell off that division, it was purchased by Steve Jobs and they tried for a number of years to sell hardware before pivoting and making their first featured length animated movie, Toy Story. It took about 20 years, but Pixar found its true calling. While I am not at all comparing myself to Pixar, I am taking an important less from them: you may not find success in your first iteration.
