Enjoy a Summer’s Night with the Davidoff Nicaragua Robusto

Summer is in full swing and there is nothing better than a beautiful night with a fine drink and a cigar. This summer I’ve been enjoying a wealth of different cigars, including the Davidoff Nicaragua Robusto Tubo.

Famous-Smoke Shop sent me me a 4-pack of these to try out a while back, and I thought there was no better time to write about them than right before the holiday weekend. Aside from a big display of patriotism, the Fourth of July for me is filled with barbecues, great beer, fireworks, and great cigars. The Davidoff Nicaragua Robusto Tubo definitely falls into that category.

The first one I had from the pack was a little rough around the edges. I wasn’t sure what to expect and it made the cigar a little harsh. This is because I made a common mistake: I assumed light wrapper meant light smoke. But don’t let this Davidoff fool you. It’s a strong cigar that starts off with hints of spices that attack your pallet a bit, before smoothing out into a sweeter, creamy flavor. It’s a great dinner followed shortly by dessert.

The complexity of the cigar makes it great for the veteran cigar smoker, and with a smoke time of about 45 minutes, you can enjoy it between Independence Day events without rushing it, and perhaps even get another one in later.

If you’re looking for an interesting smoke that will keep you guessing without keeping you away for long, look no further.
