The Alec Bradley Tempus is Always a Good Smoke

If you follow me on Instagram, you already know that I’m quite a big fan of cigars. Given the time, I could wax poetic about that for pages! But this post is about the first best cigar I’ve ever had:  The Alec Bradley Tempus.

It recently occurred to me that I don’t write much about cigars on this blog, even thought it’s something I’m quite passionate about. Then one of my favorite online shops, Famous Smoke Shop, reached out to me about doing a write up*. They sent me a sampler of the Alec Bradley Tempus in 5 different sizes:

  • Terra Novo (5 x 50)
  • Genesis (5 ½ x 42)
  • Imperator (6 1/8 x 52)
  • Centuria (7 x 49)
  • Creo (7 ½ x 41)

Since I normally only smoke the Toro, this allowed me to really sample the tobacco in different ways. Different lengths and gages (how fat a cigar is) alter the way the tobacco burns and how the cigar tastes. Unsurprisingly, each size was a good smoke.

The pretty amazing thing about the Tempus is that it starts off pretty good and burns evenly at every size in the sampler, getting better as it burns. This gives you a smooth flavorful draw. The taste has been described as sweet/creamy, and I agree with that sentiment. And my favorite part: it’s good until the very end. It’s a medium bodied smoke with all of the characteristics of a good full cigar.

With Spring right around the corner and a simply punishing Winter ending, I’m excited to be outside in nice weather again; when I am, I’m going to grab my sunglasses, a nice book, and the Alec Bradley Tempus. You can’t go wrong with that smoke.

*This is a sponsored post. Don’t fret though! It does not change the way I feel about Famous Smoke Shop or the Tempus. I thought both were pretty great before this.

Today I’m working from a “mobile command center.” This a a term I heard coined from coworker and all-around great fellow Brian Richards. He uses it when he’s working from the road, usually literally moving. I love this idea; working remotely let’s us work anywhere and modern technology enables us to do it. I’m not…

I plan on reading the…
