Mobility!

Note: This article was published while I was in my early 20s. I was much younger and dumber. Please don't hold it against me. One of the perils of having a 20+ year old website!

So Im away for the weekend at the lovely Woodloch Pines Resort– A resort in northernish PA- Hawly- kinda near the Poconos. Anyway, There is a resort side- R&R if you will, and a business side- one aspect of which is the real nice 18 hole golf course they have. We- my family, friends and I are staying in the springs- a development (if you want to call it that)- built around the golf course. They are given to larger guest groups- but owned by other guests in a time share type manor. This of course lead me to believe that there was at least one wireless network I can steal from. I was right. There are actually 2- but the other one is very weak. But also, on the resort (in the main lobby and other select places) you can connect to their guest WiFi Network. I absolutly love the fact that I can pick up a connection from just about anywhere with my laptop b/c of the enviroment. My school is also getting like that. Soon, WiFi will be available anywhere. Later!

Can You Go 2 Hours without a Screen Every Day?

When I was down in Florida, my brother and our friends told me about something they started doing every day: 2 Hours of No Screen Time. The idea is that for 2 hours every day, they forget about their phones, their computers, the TV, and any other screen they otherwise spend too much time in front…

  • Playing with the Apple Classical Music App

I’ve been listening to a lot more classical music lately. My wife said recently, “The older I get, the less interested I am in lyrics.” I wouldn’t go that far, but it is nice to have beautiful, lyric-less music on while you work or read. The Apple Classical Music app dropped today and I’m not…

  • What’s On My Desk, Summer 2018

Over the last few weeks I’ve been working on my office and making some good improvements to my workspace. I’m 95% to where I want to be, and I figured this is as good a time as any to do a “what’s on my desk” post. I’ve done posts like this before, and want to…
