Up Your Power Game with these Hisgadget Inc. Chargers

If you’ve purchased a power bank charger or USB outlet from Amazon, there’s a solid chance the devices came from Hisgadget Inc. They have quite an extensive catalog of products to make sure you’re always fully charged at home and on the go. I recently had the opportunity to play with two of those products: the Intocircuit Power Castle Dual USB Portable Charger & the iClever 50 Watt 6-Port USB Desktop Rapid Charger.

I’ve got to say, I have tons of these things – I’ve purchased a few myself and some were given to me as conference swag. Of them, I find myself reaching for these two the most. Both have a great quality to them and do their respective jobs really well. Let’s take a closer look at each.

Intocircuit Power Castle Dual USB Portable Charger

611x6uhVXSLThis thing is powerful. I did some informal metrics on it and I can get around 4 charges out of it for my iPhone 6. I was also able to fully charge my 6, 2 5s, and a HTC M8 Windows phone on one charge with power to spare on a recent trip to Disneyland.

It takes a bit of time to charge (I noticed a little better than 1.25% per minute) but it’s a proper charge – it will keep your phone powered like it was directly plugged into the wall. That cannot be said of all portable chargers. There was also no noticeable difference in speed between charging 1 or 2 devices at the same time.

The design of the device is great. It’s a heavy-duty brick, but it looks fantastic, the display shows how much power is left in percent (most just have LED lights), and there’s a built-in flashlight. My only complaint is that I cannot “daisy chain” devices; that is, I can’t charge the charger while also charging my phone or other devices. I image that has a lot to do with how powerful the charging block actually is. Its SmartID Technology can actually identify the device you’ve plugged into it and charge it in the most efficient way.

This is an excellent companion to have with you, especially on long trips or really busy days.

I originally had a DIY plan for a “charging station” on a spare desk I have. I’d build out a stand of sorts and run wires with all kinds of connectors for each device I have. I no longer need that with the iClever 6-Port desktop charger. I plug that in to a single outlet, place it on my nightstand, and plug in all of my devices (which currently include an iPhone 6, an iPad Air 2, a Moto 360 watch, a OnePlus One, and the Intocircuit Portable Charger).

This is a fantastically compact device that packs a punch. Since all of the ports are 5V/2.5A outputs, I don’t have to worry about making sure I plug certain devices into certain spots. Each device will get the same, fast, powerful charge. And this also has the same SmartID Technology as the Intocircuit Portable Charger.

While this is a portable charger, I keep it on my nightstand and use a different multi-USB outlet for travel. This charger has made managing all of my devices a breeze. I no longer have to unplug or switch out chargers or devices. I simply plug a new one in without having to move furniture or getting to the wall outlet. My only problem now is I have a surplus of USB plug adapters.

This is also fast-charging. I get a little more than a percent a minute which I’m very happy with, especially because I use it mostly at the end of the day. If you have multiple devices that you need to plug in, I strongly recommend this.

All-in-all I can’t recommend these chargers enough. I use both of them regularly and they’ve completely replaced my previous tools. Below is a photo in both of them on my nightstand.
