New Portable Charging Station for Travel Season
I’m speaking a lot over the next 8 weeks, traveling everywhere from very close (Philly) to down the coast (Orlando).
I have a good systems for travel gear; it’s a pre-packed Bellroy Tech Kit with various cables and charging bricks. But I also carry the Anker Prime Travel Power Strip, and that takes up a lot of space.
Out at Mac Stock back in July, I noticed a fantastic device my friend Doc Rock has that I knew I needed to get. The full name is the Anker Prime Power Bank, 26,250mAh 300W with Fast Charging Base.

It’s both more powerful than any solution I currently have, and more compact than the power strip. The charging base is optional, and I imagine I’d largely keep that in my suitcase.
That should be powerful enough and full enough to keep all of my devices charged while traveling, and the charging base has additional USB-C and USB-A ports — so I should be able to greatly reduce the number of bricks and cables I carry with me.
I tested it last night and it’s super fast too. I’m excited to see how it holds up this fall.
