Close Out Summer with a Romeo y Julieta House of Capulet

As the summer winds down and the nights get a little cooler, it’s time to pick that last Summer smoke before the first smoke of the Fall 🙂 . With Labor Day coming up this weekend, I want to recommend the Romeo y Julieta House of Capulet.

Romeo y Julieta is a name that most who’ve smoked cigars will recognize and with that name comes the expectation of a certain quality of cigars. Like any cigar maker, they’ve made some great ones and they’ve made some OK ones, but one thing I’ve come to expect is consistency. With Romeos, you get good, consistent, and inexpensive smokes, and it’s no different with the House of Capulet.

When Famous-Smoke Shop sent me this cigar, I was pretty excited. It’s actually one I’ve had my eye on because I’ve enjoyed the Romeo cigars that are in a similar class as the House of Capulet. The cigar lights and burns nicely, and does not require a lot of maintenance once it is lit. While it starts off with a harsh flavor, it quickly mellows out into a smooth, creamy flavor that stays with you until the end.

The really nice thing about this cigar is that it’s good for any pallet, especially beginners. Since it is so inexpensive ($5-6/stick) it’s also a great one to give away at parties. Recognizable name, affordable cigar, and nothing crazy as far as a flavor pallet means a nice crowd pleaser for that Labor Day BBQ you’re heading out to.
