WordPress Cyber Weekend Deals 2018

Well it’s that time of year, where there are lots of deals that I’d rather buy for myself than for others. I think nothing better encapsulates that than the digital deals going on in the WordPress /online worker space. I mean don’t get me wrong, I’d love to get a great deal on hosting. But I’d be disappointed if someone got me hosting for Christmas. That said, it’s the best time of year to save yourself some money while making those last minute end of the year business purchases. Here are my favorite (mostly) WordPress Cyber Weekend Deals.

“No But We Can Order It Online for You.”

I have a confession to make: when it comes to shopping, I like it a lot more than my wife does. I also really like going to stores and buying stuff…even though with Amazon I can get most things the same day if I order them before 11am. But there’s something about going to a store or a mall, picking out the thing you want, and walking out with it. It bums me out that retail is dying. The news that Toys ‘R’ Us is closing kills me. That store is probably the reason I like shopping so much. But over the last few months, my shopping excursions have been fruitless, and the reason makes it very clear why retail is dying.

How to do Black Friday Shopping from Home

I remember when my parents first bought something online for Christmas. It was 1998, we had just gotten a family computer (a good one) and a reasonable Internet connection. They ordered from from Dick’s Sporting Goods, but first tried an unfortunate URL that brought that to a site they were definitely not expecting. Being the resident computer nerd, I helped remove the site from both the screen and their history, and got them to the right site. Since then they’ve done a whole lot of computer shopping around Christmas, and in recent years have done their shopping almost exclusively through Amazon and other sites. Why am I telling you this? Because you don’t need to go out on Black Friday to get Black Friday deals.

10 Android Apps the Make my Life Easier

It’s no secret that I love Android as a platform, and I favor Android phones over the iPhone. I did my Master’s Thesis on the G1, bought the Motorola Droid- the first Android phone available on Verizon, and recently upgraded to the HTC Droid Incredible. One of the reasons I like Android so much is because of the openness of the Market Place, and the ability to install non-market apps on your phone. Apps are very powerful for any platform because they make your phone more personal. Today I want to tell you about 10 Android apps that have made my life easier!
