You’re Already Automating

https://www.youtube.com/embed/sSwg8bPl_r4 “Automation seems hard, scary, complicated.” I hear that all the time. But here's the thing…you're probably already doing it. Here are 4 things I bet you've set up that totally count as automation:

  • Automatic bill pay. It’s right in the name — automatic. A bill gets paid without you taking any action? You’re automating.
  • Mailing list welcome emails. If someone joins your list and receives a PDF or a greeting without you lifting a finger — boom. Automation.

  • Stripe payouts. Money lands in your bank account without you having to do anything. That’s not magic. That’s automation.

  • Email autoresponders. “Thanks for your email — I’m out of office until X.” That’s a trigger causing an action. That’s automation too.

Automation doesn’t need to be some big, complicated Rube Goldberg machine. It’s simply getting a computer to do something so you don’t have to. Hi I’m Joe Casabona. I help busy solopreneur parents build systems so they’re not always checking their email at the playground. If you liked this, check out my newsletter!
