I’m pretty vocal about my feelings for the iPhone and iOS devices in general. I don’t like them; I think they are too locked down and that they aren’t as feature-rich an Android devices. However, as I should have an iOS device to test on and there are a few seemingly good things about iOS, I decided to get an iPhone and use it as my primary phone for a couple of weeks.
I wrote this on the WordCamp Scranton blog originally. I am so excited to be organizing this event. The team and I are bound to make sure it’s a great event!
After a few months of initial planning and venue hunting, we are happy announce that WordCamp is coming to Scranton, PA on July 18th! It will be held at Johnson College and we could not be more excited!
WordCamp is a conference that focuses on everything WordPress.
WordCamps are informal, community-organized events that are put together by WordPress users like you. Everyone from casual users to core developers participate, share ideas, and get to know each other. (src).
We will have WordPress-focused talks, sponsors, networking events, swag, and an after party! It’s going to be a great weekend!
Right now, we are getting all of our ducks in a row regarding this website and the important details, and we need your help! We are currently looking for people to fill three very important roles:

People who know me probably know a few tenets of my character: I can get very passionate about things, I like doing stuff (to the point where I say yes too much), and I give back where I can. Over the weekend, I hosted an event called the NEPA Hackathon and it was a lot of fun. I’d really like to see more of these things happen in Scranton.
Around January of 2014, I wrote about a learning plan I came up with get me up to speed on several tools, including git and Sass. That worked out relatively well for me, seeing as I use both of those every day now. I’ve decided that while I’m not going to break it down by weeks this time around, I still have a plan in place to learn a couple of new things.
