Movies I need to see before I turn 24
Note: This article was published while I was in my early 20s. I was much younger and dumber. Please don't hold it against me. One of the perils of having a 20+ year old website!
In less than a month (23 days, actually), I will turn 24 years old. While I tout myself as being a pop culture nerd, there is a list of classic movies I still have not seen. A few weeks ago my friends and I set out to change that. Here is the list of movies I need to see before I turn 24, or at least very shortly after.
- 12 Monkeys
- Alien
- Braveheart
- Citizen Kane
- Full Metal Jacket
- God Father II*
- Good Will Hunting
- Pulp Fiction
- Reservoir Dogs*
- Saving Private Ryan
- The Shawshank Redemption
- Schindler’s List
Then, there is the list of movies that aren’t necessarily classics, but I definitely should have seen them:
- Gangs of New York
- Gran Torino
- Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels*
- Scarface
- The Bourne Ultimatum
*- I own the movie
It’s a shame I haven’t seen these, especially because I love movies, but I am fixing that now. Feel free to list more in the comments and I will let you know if I’ve seen them or not.
Just want you to know that I have seen 8 of these movies. I also attempted to watch another 3 but decided I was bored. looks like I’m winning
I can’t believe this list… you really need to get on that. Almost all of these are in the tops of my favorite films. Hurry up and see Godfather Part II.
