  • I’m a die-hard Yankees fan who grew up in the 90s. I’m a little spoiled.

I honestly went into watching last nights game assuming the worst and hoping for the best. Thankfully they won. It wasn’t the cleanest win, but it was a fun game to watch.

    On to Game 4!

  • I’ve found the most 90s music video in a song I’ve long forgotten about (but could never forget the lyrics) : C’est la vie by B*Witched.

    Lets’ break it down:

    • Super wild flowery colors
    • Denim wardrobes
    • Overuse of that weird liquid transition
    • Synchronized dancing in front of a green screen
    • Riverdance
    • Spoken sentences throughout the track
    • That thing where they’d morph one person into another super fast
    • Speeding up random parts of the video

    So. Good.

  • What is the best cover album, and why is it New Found Glory’s From the Screen to Your Stereo Part II?

  • About once per month I wonder how Apple Music can be so bad and core features, like playing music and adding songs to a playlist.

I’ve resisted switching because thanks to me being deeply embedded in the Apple ecosystem, I wouldn’t actually fully switch away from Apple Music. I’d be paying for 2 music streaming services.

Well the pain got so bad last week that I decided to finally sign up for Spotify Premium again…and let me tell you, I’ve missed it.

It works so, so seamlessly. The playlists are amazing. And thanks to FreeYourMusic, I didn’t have to painstakingly recreate my playlists.

    It’s good to be back.

  • Since I started running again last month, a number of folks told me they listen to podcasts to make the run go by faster.

I’ve always been a music listener because I tend to run to the beat, use it to get my pumped up, etc.

But I’m always open to new ideas!

Anyway, Overcast has been my long-time podcast app of choice, but the experience with downloading episodes to the Apple Watch has been incredibly frustrating and unpredictable. And I’m only taking my watch with me on runs.

Turns out, I’m a lifetime member of Pocket Casts +, which means I’m privy to some great features, including Watch support. So I’ve decided to switch over to that for a week or so to see if it’s better.

I’ll likely do a comparison write-up in the near future, either here or over on Podcast Liftoff.
