This past weekend was the Fourth of July and I inadvertently took the weekend off by not spending much time at the computer. Instead I spent it with family and friends, traveling and enjoying the mostly beautiful weather. It was nice.

I was recently asked what’s the longest I’ve ever gone without a computer. During the Summer of 2004, I went to Ocean City with my cousins and my laptop died the night before. There was no time to replace it, so I went without a computer for the entire trip. Even as a college student, it was a refreshing break.

I’ve been thinking more about the TIL Podcast and what I need to do to make it a show people will actually listen to. I need a good hook to draw people in, and I’m not entirely sure one that’s just, “I learned stuff,” is good. See Friday’s post for why (spoiler: there are a…

  • Feeling Torn

As a Yankee fan, I’d like to see the Blue Jays make it to the World Series and give Don Mattingly a shot at his first ring. But on the other hand, seeing two teams who’ve never won a World Series would be so good. The Mariners have never even been! Baseball is the best.
