About
Hi. I’m Joe Casabona (that’s me on the left) and this is my personal blog. You can read more about it below.
About Joe Casabona
I graduated from the University of Scranton with my Masters in Software Engineering. I am now a part time faculty member there, in the Department of Computing Sciences. I hail from and currently live in Middletown, NY.
Full time, I am a freelance web developer, DBA Manifest Development. I program primarily in XHTML/CSS, PHP/MySQL, and Javascript, but dabble in Java and C. I also know a whole lot about WordPress, and offer everything from basic installs, to full custom theme and plugin development.
As for personal interests, I’m a huge Yankee fan and NY Giants fan, I enjoy playing video games (Xbox 360 especially- Gamer tag is Meth0dius; let’s throw down.) and love Texas Hold’Em. I play whenever I can. Oh yeah, and I am all over the Internet; most notably:
Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, FreelanceSwitch, and Theme Forest. You can also view my full resume and other sites I’m on at Casabona.Org
About the Blog
I guess the official start of this thing was in 2002, when I had some space on Yahoo! and was just starting out in the web dev world. I was in high school, so really it was more like a LiveJournal, filled with teen angst. I mean, you know how high school is. Or maybe you don’t. It’s cool.
Since then it’s evolved from a fake LJ to a place of substance. I usually talk tech, freelancing, sports, and politics and occasionally post something worth reading. I love reading your comments, so feel free to add in your two cents anytime you want.
