screenAfter several months of design and development, I am proud to announce the launch of Burke Catholic High School’s new website. Burke first came to me back in November seeking a new, more interactive, easier to update website geared towards current students, parents, and prospective families. In development, I created the first iteration of Minerva CMS, a content management system powered by WordPress and geared towards high schools.

What Burke needed was a cleaner, updated look that gave people a view into what student life is like at the school. The new design has a full events calendar, news section, and blog, as well as sections for student life and athletics that keep people who visit updated on the latest in student activities . With the ability to add photo galleries and videos, the site paints a nice picture of campus life for incoming and prospective students. That, along with the new emergency notification feature on the site makes Burke’s website the one stop for anyone looking for information about the school.

There is also an alumni manager that allows Burke’s graduates to download the latest newsletter, get information on reunions, and keep the school updated on what they are doing. This, along with the rest of the current and forthcoming features makes Burke’s new website a robust online experience, no matter what you’re looking for.
