4/5- A good action film. I thought the movie was good- Willis, obviously a great job. He is a Hostage Negotiator. In the beginning of the movie, there is a suspensful scene. Good start. But the main story comes after. These 3 guys go to steal some very very rich guy’s car. This rich guy is a single father of 2 kids- a say…17 year old daughter named Jennifer and a say….7-10 year old boy named Tommy. The 3 guys enter the house with guns, Tommy pulls the silent alarm. Right here, I knew this kid would be great. Anyway, as the story transpires, Willis (who is now head of a small town Police Dept) gets the call and sees whats up. Anyway, Its a very involved storyline and this is a review, not a summary. The boy, Tommy- played by Jimmy Bennett was a great character. And Jimmy did a great job of portraying that. He was a brave little kid that wasn’t so couragous that it was unbelievable but he wasn’t a total wuss. He was a very smart kid who was able to think on his toes in a hot situation, and did what he had to do. The connection between him a Willis was a great one that was set from the opening scene, even though Tommy wasn’t in the opening scene. My only problem is there was no real closure I think. Sure, there was an ending- but I had some questions that could have been answered.
The action scenes- sick. There was fire, gunshots, a couple explosions, and a dramatic “walking sillouette” scene. But seriously, one scene towards the end takes the cake- all the plot lines come together in one massive action scene that still kept to the story and didnt end the movie. I liked it. You should go see it. Later.
ps- its hard to write a good review without giving away the story
The honest truth? Its not a bad program. However, it was much better. If you want to try it, you get 14 days free. After that, they charge your credit card. Its $10/month, you can listen to all the music you want. On your computer. Its basically the Block Buster of music. If you like the song you can pay 99 cents for it to burn to a cd or put on your mp3 player. It also syncs up with select mp3 players (iPod not one of them). It was better because of a certain loophole that allowed you to convert the songs into mp3 from WMA, thus not having to pay the 99 cents to use the song outside of Napster. However, napster crushed those loop holes. So, At the end of this month, I will no longer be using napster. It was nice while it lasted. But I dont need to pay $10/month to sample music. Like I said, try it out for the 14 days, see what you think. But keep in mind, you dont get to keep the music when you get rid of napster. (as far as I know). Napster 2.o. Later

5/5- The book is great. It’s funny, entertaining and it tells you teh answers to the most difficult of life’s answers. For example- What is teh answer to the Life, the Universe, and Everything?? The book tells you. However, it doesnt tell you what the question is. Basically, the story is this. The Earth is blown up to build a galactic highway overpass that will be obsolete in a little while anyway. So Earth’s only survivor, Arthur Dent, and his galactic hitchhiking friend, Ford Prefect find a ride off of and away from earth. Of course, the fact that there is a whole nother galaxy, etc. is news to him. Anyway, They eventually get picked up by the Heart of Gold- an Improbobility Drive (which is scientifically explained in the book). It’s a very fast read, but an incredible cliff hanger, which means I now have to read the second book i n the series, “Restuarant at the End of the Universe”. If you have been reading this, you know there is a Movie coming out in April. I know Im going to go see it. Later !
Well, since making the switch to my laptop for a little while, I have come across some cool software. Of Course you know my love of Fire Fox. I highly recommend it. But there is some other stuff. I do some Reviews– maybe you have seen them. But this is a short series where I just tell you in depth about some cool, or not so cool software. Stay tuned, check back often- the first program is Napster, 2.0. Later.
Basically what was happening was a plug in called “Bot Checker”, which I go to prevent spam, was sending a variable called “human” back with the value “invalid”. The checker checked this value and if it was ‘invalid’ then the comment wasnt posting. So I just disabled the plug in. Ill have to find a new one if I want to prevent spam. Later!
The Comments are working right now. I dont know why. Im working on it. If you do wanna comment, e-mail me at joe@casabonaorg-staging.eowgdit8-liquidwebsites.com. Later
As you may know, Leno was called as a possible witness for Jacko’s trial. Because of this, he is not allowed to make any jokes about Michael Jackson until he has testified. But, this court order does not prevent him from writting jokes. So, he had Brad Garrett (Everybody Love Raymond’s Robert) to read the jokes he had written. Read about it Here. Later.
Today I played N64 in my friend’s dorm room. I forgot how fucking awesome that system is. I remember when I was a kid, especially on snow days, my friend would come over and we would play all day. When people slept over, tournament Golden Eye and Perfect Dark. Who could beat the hardest bots? WCW/NWO Revenge- the best wresting game. Goal- make your guy bleed. Never pin him. Make him tap out. TKO him. Never Pin. Not to mention Bomber Man 64, Mario Kart 64 (which we started playing last year again when Double Dash came out), and the Zelda games. While the new systems are great- The old school games never get old. I did notice that graphics have come a long way in just under 10 years (that’s right, n64 came out in ’96), and it makes me wonder how much farther game graphics have to go. According to Programming God John Carmack, not to much farther. Look at how real games like Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 look. I wonder how long it will be before we get real pictures, places, things as immersive worlds we play in…
